Job Description

1. Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
2. Directly responsible to medical preceptor and the medical director.
3. Uses diagnostic methods and instruments to perform duties such as history taking and physical examinations of all body systems; analyzes common acute and chronic health problems and manages certain health care regimens with the use of medical protocol.
4. Makes referrals under direction of physician for patient who cannot receive complete medical assistance at this center and makes follow-ups on referrals as well as patient's needs.
5. Assures that efficient patient records are maintained.
6. Assists physician with the daily review of patient's records.
7. Offers counseling and guidance to individual patients and families when necessary.
8. Assesses health status of individuals and families routinely through physical examinations and detection and prevention of health hazards resulting from genetic factors; environmental sources; lifestyle problems; and family stresses.
9. Consults and collaborates with physicians and other health professions, as well as the public in planning and instituting health programs.
10. Provides leadership and training to nursing staff when necessary.
11. Performs other duties as deemed necessary and/or as prescribed.
