Nurse Practitioner Opportunity Northwest Chicago Suburbs

Well-established and respected growing behavioral hospital in the northwest suburbs of Chicago is looking to hire Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
This 141-bed psychiatric hospital is the first in the nation to have been awarded JCAHO's Disease-Specific Care Certification in four seperate psychiatric specialties: Depression, Chemical Dependency, Eating Disorders, and Self Injury.
Hospitals 8 inpatient units include programs and services for youth, adolescents, adults and older adults.
Alternative levels of care are provided in the partial, intensive outpatient and traditional outpatient programs.
Additional sub-specialties are in the areas of neuropsychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, addictions, Anxiety/OCD, women's issues and school refusal.
The hospital also features an extensive clinical psychiatric research program, Virtual Iraq 3-D simulation for veterans with PTSD, resources for Autism Spectrum and other developmental disorders, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services.
Primary purpose: Under the supervision of the Medical Director and Director of the Group Practice is responsible for the evaluation and management of behavioral health services to patients and their families.
Someone who has an interest in Addictions or Eating Disorders is always a plus along with general Psychiatry.
Work environment: environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
This position will provide services in both inpatient and outpatient settings including consultation on medical floors of an acute care medical center.
