Job Description

Liberty Healthcare has an opportunity for a Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatry service at Morris Village Alcohol & Drug Addiction Treatment Center.

This hospital is licensed by the state of South Carolina and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. It has 120 beds operational and provides in-patient treatment for adults with alcoholism and drug abuse or addiction; and, when indicated, addiction accompanied by psychiatric illness. Patients are admitted from throughout the state by referrals from community mental health centers and community drug and alcohol commissions.

Responsibilities of this position primarily involve the provision of inpatient psychiatric treatment to an assigned caseload of adult patients with alcoholism and drug abuse or addiction; and when indicated, addiction accompanied by psychiatric illness.

Liberty seeks Psychiatrists with:

Board Certification in Psychiatry (not required but strongly preferred)

Prior experience or an interest in Addiction Psychiatry

An active South Carolina medical license or willingness to apply for a S.C. medical license

Interest in providing inpatient psychiatry services to a diverse mix of patients and to people who have serious and persistent mental illness

Ability to work successfully in a multidisciplinary environment
Assistance obtaining a medical license in South Carolina, if needed
