Job Description

The outpatient practice is located in a 10,000 square foot building that was built in 2005. This opportunity is for someone looking at clinic setting only. See patients and follow-up in the hospital but no criticial care.

St. Marys Hospital is a 250 bed tertiary care facility which has 32 critical care beds located in a new ten story addition that opened in January 2010. St. Marys Hospital is a level two trauma center and has its own helicopter service. The Saccomanno Research Institute is part of the St. Marys Hospital program and conducts studies in respiratory disease. There are opportunities for teaching with a local family practice program. The medical community has a referral area of Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. All subspecialty services are provided except transplant. The practice provides oversight services for a total of eight sleep beds in three different sleep laboratories in Grand Junction.

Why practice in Grand Junction? This is a year round recreation and vacation area yet offers a very sophisticated medical community. Grand Junction is a growing community of 130,000 (county) with excellent schools including a four year college, excellent arts community, and a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. There are world-class opportunities locally in mountain biking, hiking, skiing, fishing, boating, and hunting. Colorado National Monument sits at the edge of Grand Junction and there are four national parks within a two hour drive and seven more within seven hours. We feel that the more time we are able to spend with our families makes us better all around physicians and the closeness of the community with minimal commuting distances allows for this increased home time.
