Per-Diem Physicians

Job Description

We define primary health care as encompassing ongoing and preventive medical services, mental health counseling, addiction services, holistic and complementary therapies and community health education and outreach.

We are looking for outstanding Per-Diem medical providers with a specific interest in LGBT Health and Primary Care. The medical providers are responsible for providing outpatient care on a per-diem basis and assisting with coverage of both Fenway Healths Massachusetts DPH sponsored STD Clinic, which takes place on Wednesdays from 4-7pm, and Fenway Healths weekend episodic care clinic, which takes place on Saturdays from 9am-1pm.

The Physicians will provide direct medical services to the full range of Fenway Health patients, including conducting exams, ordering tests, prescribing medication, formulating treatment plans and providing preventive health care advice and psychosocial screening and assessment.

Requirements:
MD, DO, PA, or NP degree
Current Massachusetts license
Current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registrations
For Physicians: board certification in internal medicine, an internal medicine subspecialty, emergency medicine, or family practice
Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals
Previous experience (three years or greater) in a primary care setting is highly desirable
Interest in LGBT healthcare is highly desirable
Experience working in an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse environment preferred
Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required
