Job Description

Go Docs Go, a physician housecall practice, is seeking both full-time and part-time Physicians to provide at home primary care to our geriatric and disabled patient base, primarily Medicare recipients, residing in the area of Jackson, MI. Go Docs Go, provides exceptional care by bringing compassionate doctors and other health care professionals directly to your door.

SUMMARY:
The Physician has the responsibility to grow a geriatric patient base and provide primary care services to patients in their homes or residential facilities. The practice will emphasize health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. The Physician will work collaboratively with the other physicians, hospitals, SNFs, ALFs, as well as clients in their own home to develop care protocols.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts medical evaluations of predominantly elderly, frail, chronically ill homebound patients in their home environment.
Documents visit completely and accurately via EMR at the time of the visit for medical record and billing purposes.
Develops a treatment plan in collaboration with the patient and significant others.
Evaluates patient medication and writes/orders prescriptions as needed.
Performs minor surgical procedures when required.
Refers patients to physicians as appropriate for consultation or for specialized health resources and treatment.
Maintains current knowledge of and promotes compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Keeps fully cognizant of current Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party reimbursement regulations and changes and ensures compliance.
Maintains patient and staff privacy and confidentiality at all times pursuant to HIPAA Privacy Final Rule.
Meets minimum productivity requirements based on practice standard.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

EDUCATION: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy required.

LICENSURE: Current unrestricted State license to practice
medicine. Must have valid drivers license.

EXPERIENCE: Preferred 1-3 years experience in healthcare, with a combination of acute care and family practice. Experience with geriatric patients preferred.

TRANSPORTATION: Physicians are provided with company vehicle and M.A.

HEALTH STATUS: Meets all applicable agency policies and procedures related to physical exam and required testing.
