Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified Medical Director for the Emergency Department at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital located in Winchester, Indiana.The physician who takes advantage of this Emergency Medicine opportunity will enjoy competitive compensation, local physician leadership, flexible scheduling, occurrence-based malpractice coverage, complimentary online CME and freedom from non-competes. The Medical Director's compensation package includes a substantial monthly stipend.St. Vincent Randolph Hospital, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, has been providing health services to Randolph County residents since 1919. Part of St. Vincent Health rural health system and the Ascension Health family, the nation's largest Catholic and largest nonprofit health system, St. Vincent Randolph Hospital's ED has an annual volume of 12,000 patient visits. The hospital also has two federally designated rural health clinics, which house the practice for 11 healthcare providers. Both clinics have been designated by the state of Indiana as "model" rural health clinics and training centers.The rural health clinics services include: primary care, wellness, diagnostic, laboratory, mental health, occupational health, rehabilitation, and case management/outreach programs. St. Vincent Randolph's specialty clinics boast more than 42 specialists representing cardiology, rheumatology, neurology, gastroenterology, urology, nephrology, and oncology. Specialists from Ball Memorial Hospital and Reid Memorial Hospital also come to St. Vincent Randolph to serve the community of Randolph County.Randolph County-population 27,401-is located in the eastern part of Indiana on the Indiana-Ohio Stateline. Known primarily for its agricultural offerings-corn, soybeans, and internationally known livestock-Randolph County offers a pastoral setting, refreshing pace, and opportunity to step back in time.Residents here can still enjoy an outdoor drive-in theatre, strolling around the courthouse square, shopping and a movie downtown, and several popular seasonal festivals, such as Winchester's Mom, Baseball and Apple Pie Festival held each August. Although Randolph County is one of the least populated counties in Indiana, it's about an hour's drive from several big cities: Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, Ind., as well as Cincinnati, Ohio.All physicians are partners of Indiana Emergency Physicians, LLP, a registered limited liability partnership. Physician partners are eligible for health, optical, and dental insurance at group rates. Physicians have the option to participate in a 401(k) plan, as well as life and disability insurance at group rates.
