We are currently seeking qualified full-time Emergency Physicians and a medical director for the Emergency Department at Black River Medical Center, located in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The brand new 3-bed Emergency Department was completed in late 2011 and is an affiliate of the Saint Francis Healthcare System.Physicians who takes advantage of this Emergency Medicine opportunity will enjoy competitive compensation, local physician leadership, flexible scheduling, occurrence-based malpractice coverage, complimentary online CME and freedom from non-competes.As southeast Missouri's only accredited ambulatory surgery center, Black River Medical Center offers expansive surgical specialties, the latest technology, four operating rooms, three endoscopy suites, and highly skilled surgeons and staff. Full-time radiologists ensure the most accurate diagnoses and prompt attention for patients and referring physicians.The Ozark Foothills Region is a beautiful area with numerous springs, waterways and other natural attractions. Known as the gateway to the Ozarks, Poplar Bluff is nestled in southeast Missouri, between St. Louis, MO and Memphis, AR. The city was named for its location in a forest of yellow poplars on the bluffs above the Black River.All physicians are partners with Gateway Emergency Physicians, LLP, a registered limited liability partnership. Physician partners are eligible for health, optical, and dental insurance at group rates. Physicians have the option to participate in a 401(k) plan, as well as life and disability insurance at group rates.
