We are currently seeking qualified full-time Emergency Physicians for the Emergency Department at Community Memorial Hospital, located in Staunton, Illinois.Physicians who take advantage of this Emergency Medicine opportunity will enjoy competitive compensation, local physician leadership, flexible scheduling, occurrence-based malpractice coverage, complimentary online CME and freedom from non-competes.This 25-bed, short-stay, not-for-profit hospital has been serving the Staunton, Illinois, area since 1951. Medical staff members at Community Memorial Hospital include highly-qualified practitioners specializing in general surgery, family practice, internal medicine, and pediatrics. These practitioners receive support from specialists providing outpatient clinical services and diagnostic testing.The hospital includes a cardiopulmonary department with respiratory, cardiac, and sleep services; its laboratory staff includes a board-certified pathologist. Radiology services are available 24 hours a day and include a 64-slice CT-scan, MRI, echocardiogram, and more.Community Memorial Hospital continually seeks to enhance its emergency care by streamlining its services. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency care with support from nurses that specialize in cardiac life support, trauma life support, and pediatric care. The 4-bed ED treats approximately 4,000 patients each year.Emergency department physicians have a dual emergency medicine/hospitalist role and practice in 24-hour shifts. ED Physicians perform patient admissions and discharges, as well as inpatient rounds.FAMILY COMMUNITY CLOSE TO ST. LOUIS A family-oriented community, Staunton, Illinois, offers parks, playgrounds, and skate parks and is a featured stop along the Illinois Route 66 Bike Trail, which runs from St. Louis to Chicago. Boaters flock to Staunton Lake for leisurely cruises and large-mouth bass fishing. Staunton proudly hosts a weekly farmers market that offers fresh produce and other local goods. The area also hosts regular community events, such as chili cook-offs, free concerts, and children's activities. Staunton offers excellent public and private school systems.
