We are currently seeking qualified full-time Emergency Physicians for the EmergencyDepartment at Dickenson Community Hospital, located in Clintwood, Virginia.Physicians who take advantage of this Emergency Medicine opportunity will enjoycompetitive compensation, local physician leadership, flexible scheduling, occurrence-based malpractice coverage, complimentary online CME and freedom from non-competes.An affiliate of the widely respected Mountain States Health Alliance, Dickenson community Hospital is a not-for-profit critical access hospital.With 35 patient beds, Dickenson Community Hospital is owned by Norton Community Hospital, a 129-bed acute care facility. Recently, it expanded to include a 5,700 square-foot physician office building on the hospital campus.The hospital offers 24-hour emergency medicine services, which include around-the-clock inpatient and outpatient lab services. Radiology services range from bone-density (DEXA) testing to CT-scan, ultrasound, and x-ray.The emergency department has access to a Wings Air Rescue helicopter that transports ER patients to Norton Community Hospital in seven minutes or Johnson Medical Center in twenty minutes.Located in southwest Virginia, Clintwood is known as the "Heart" of the Appalachian region.Hike the Pine Mountain Trail through the Cumberland Mountains in Clintwood, Virginia. Pine Mountain Trail is Clintwood's featured attraction, offering 44 miles of pristine hiking area. This trail is perfect for horseback riding and wildlife spotting.Take a winding drive through the mountains on Rt. 611, Cumberland Mountain Scenic Drive.
