Job Description

We are currently seeking qualified full-time Emergency Physicians for the Emergency Department at Fairview Range Regional Health Services, located in Hibbing, Minnesota. The 144-bed Emergency Department provides emergency care to over 17,000 patients annually.Physicians who takes advantage of this Emergency Medicine opportunity will enjoy competitive compensation, local physician leadership, flexible scheduling, occurrence-based malpractice coverage, complimentary online CME and freedom from non-competes.Located in the Fairview Range Medical Center, this 13,000-volume emergency department is a level III trauma center. It boasts a 24-hour staff of board-certified, residency-trained emergency physicians; a highly trained, expert emergency nursing staff; and advanced diagnostic services, including CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound and EEG. The ED recently was expanded to include 11 exam and treatment rooms, an isolation room, a cast/orthopedic room, and a critical care area. An urgent care center, located adjacent to the ED, is open from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. For patients in need of more specialized care, Fairview Range Medical Center partners with the Fairview Range nonprofit healthcare system and University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, in Minneapolis. If needed, transport for critical patients via ground or helicopter transport is available. The Fairview Range system includes Fairview Range Medical Center, three primary care clinics, a wide range of specialty services, plus home care and senior services. Fairview Range Medical Center is the system's main facility. Located in Hibbing, it provides more than 60 medical services, including ENT, surgery, urology, occupational therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, radiation therapy, sleep center, sports medicine and obstetrics/gynecology, and more.With a population of more than 16,000, Hibbing offers a comfortable, high quality of life and serves as a regional center for employment, education, transportation, services, retail, healthcare, professional services, government, and industry. Among its largest employers: the innovative DMR Electronics, 65 employees; Hibbing Taconite, 720 employees; and Fairview University Medical Center-Mesabi, 1,500 employees. A recreational paradise just outside of Superior National Forest in northeast Minnesota, Hibbing has 32 parks, two golf courses, a skate park, softball/baseball fields, soccer fields, indoor and outdoor ice rinks, and limitless opportunities for fishing, hunting, and boating. Cross-country ski trails, the Hibbing raceway, a marksmanship center, and the Mesabi Bike Trail also call Hibbing home. The city was the boyhood home of musician Bob Dylan. It sits about 75 miles from Lake Superior's shore and Duluth, Minn., and about 170 miles from Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn.All physicians are partners with Meramec Emergency Physicians, LLP, a registered limited liability partnership. Physician partners are eligible for health, optical, and dental insurance at group rates. Physicians have the option to participate in a 401(k) plan, as well as life and disability insurance at group rates.
