We are currently seeking qualified full-time Emergency Physicians for the Emergency Department at Medical Center of South Arkansas, located in El Dorado, Arkansas.Physicians who take advantage of this Emergency Medicine opportunity will enjoy competitive compensation, local physician leadership, flexible scheduling, occurrence-based malpractice coverage, complimentary online CME and freedom from non-competes.The Medical Center of South Arkansas (MCSA) is a 166-bed facility. This general acute-care facility is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The recently expanded medical center offers services that include surgical, neonatal, and intensive care. In 2007, a Heart and Vascular Institute was part of a multi-million dollar investment, allowing MCSA to provide the highest quality of care to its community and residents. Since 1996, the Medical Center of South Arkansas has made $40 million in improvements. Most medical specialties are represented, including Neurology, Hospitalists, and Cardiovascular Surgery.The Emergency Department provides care to over 16,000 patients annually and has a service area of over 100,000. The U-shaped department has 11 beds and is centered around a nurses station. Both radiology and the laboratory are located down the hall from the ED and are available 24 hours. The Medical Records office has limited hours, but records are always accessible by the house supervisor. A helipad is located on site to transfer critical patients. Emergency Medicine physicians do not have to write admitting orders.Beautiful, historic El Dorado, Ark., attracted nearly 30,000 residents to the area during the 1920s oil rush. Residents of El Dorado are eligible for the El Dorado Promise, a scholarship program that covers up to five years of college tuition for any graduate of El Dorado High School attending an accredited university in the United States.All physicians are partners of South Arkansas Emergency Physicians, LLP, a registered limited liability partnership. Physician partners are eligible for health, optical, and dental insurance at group rates. Physicians have the option to participate in a 401(k) plan, as well as life and disability insurance at group rates.
