What started in 1884 as a 20-bed hospital has developed into a 55-bed, acute care facility spread over 82 wooded acres. OSF St. Francis Hospital features hospital, home-based, and physician services.A Cardiac Diagnostic Center, full-service rehabilitation department, on-campus dialysis center, and full-service medical imaging department with CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine are a sample of some of the services patients find at OSF St. Francis Hospital. Specialties include family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, geriatrics, pulmonology, nephrology, neurology, and general surgery with a medical staff of more than 120 physicians and mid-level providers. OSF Home Care offers home-based services and includes hospice care and a Health Watch personal response system.More than 16,500 patients visit the OSF St. Francis Hospital emergency department each year.
