Family Practice Physician

Job Description

The board eligible/certified physician provides comprehensive medical services for members of families regardless of age or gender, on a continuing basis. The family practitioner examines patients, using medical instruments and equipment and elicits and records information about patients medical history. The physician also orders various tests and diagnostic images when necessary to provide information on patients condition and analyzes reports and findings of tests and medications. Promotes health by advising patients concerning, diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease. Vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases and refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Clinical Care Counseling patients regarding diet, essential activities for treating complications, hygienic, and disease preclusion. Collecting, recording, and maintaining details of the patients

Education: MD
Experience: Experienced
Certificates/License: NJ State Medical License

Hours per Week: 25
Days: Elizabeth, NJ
Position: Part Time

Additional Information
May be hired out of a residency program. Experience in ambulatory health care, preferably community health desired.The Family Practice Physician may be required to perform other duties as assigned. If such work becomes a permanent and regular part of the job a revised job description will be developed.
