Chief Medical Officer

Job Description

The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for overall patient services and the clinical programs, policies and procedures of the organization. The VP/CMO is also responsible for the recruitment, retention, and supervision of all physicians, mid-level providers and medical student staffing. He/She develops and ensures implementation of approved clinical protocols and procedures while advising and making recommendations to the Board and CEO on policy decision relative to clinical activities an functions. Understanding and assuring compliance and reporting with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and special conditions including JCAHO and HIPAA is mandatory. The VP/CMO ensures the quality of health care services and effective implementation of a Board QA Plan and ensures regular QA reports to the Board.

Additional Information
Graduate of a certified US Medical School or graduate of a foreign Medical School with a passing grade or the USMLE. Completion of ABIM approved internal medicine residency program with board certified status. Licensed MD in New Jersey and Board Certified in specialty area. Minimum of five years clinical experience in ambulatory health care & three to five years experience in management or administration
