As you approach the end of your training program are you beginning to think about what you will do next? Are you trying to figure out what kind of practice you will join? Are you thinking about a hospital based practice model? Have you considered a community based private practice? I would like to tell you about a private practice opportunity in Salem, Oregon. Yes, private practice is alive and well in our community. If you like to be in control of your practice and time, then you should consider this opportunity.
Salem Womens Clinic is the busiest gynecology/womens health clinic in the community. We offer a full menu of services to the women of our community based on their needs and desires. Our patients are encouraged to embrace better health and we educate each patient on the current best evidence based practices. We have even started our own Wellness Clinic to provide the same level of primary care to our patients as our gynecologic care.
We believe in long appointments with our average appointment at 20 minutes. Some are shorter and some are longer but there is no mill here. We believe in old fashioned medical care with support by the latest technology. We have a fully functioning EMR and the technology to back it up 24/7. Our office is the most attractive medical office in Salem, it is centrally located and just blocks from the local hospital and the local ASC.
We are out of the baby delivering night work and our night call consists of a few calls per month. Most calls are post op check-ins from surgery patients. Emergency room back up is approximately two nights per month and rarely requires a visit to the hospital.
We do not have a Uro-gynecologist in our community so these skills will be particularly attractive for new applicants. Income potential is high and is limited by how hard you wish to work. I have two nurse practitioners who support the gynecology practice by doing many of the routine exams and initial evaluations for new patients. Surgical volume is much higher than average.
We are in the center of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where outdoor activities abound with unrivaled beauty.
