Seeking BC/BE Internal Medicine or MED/PED Physician for Hospitalist opportunity in Southern Indiana.


Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services is currently seeking a physicain to join our employed hospitalist group.

Our employed physician network, the Floyd Memorial Medical Group (FMMG), consists of fourteen primary care offices, ten specialty offices, two urgent care centers and one hospitalist group. We have 91 providers in our network. Our specialty offices include Cardiology, Endocrinology, General Surgery, Pain Management, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, Spine Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Behavioral Health, Oncology and Hospitalist medicine.

Our FMMG Hospitalist group currently has 10 physicians and two nurse practitioners. The group utilizes a 7 on/off block schedule with five physicains and one NP per block. The physicians are expected to work 7AM - 7PM and the NP works from 7PM - 7AM. Due to increased volume, we are looking to add an eleventh physician and an additional NP to the group. There is also an additional bonus available to physicians who meet certain quality measures.

This position offers a VERY attractive compensation package including benefits.

How the name became
In 1947, 16 local leaders detected a need to expand the aging St. Edwards Hospital. On June 22, 1953, Memorial Hospital of Floyd County was dedicated in memory of Floyd County community members who served during wartime. The name was then changed again in the late 1980s to Floyd Memorial. The current name, Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, most accurately reflects the multi-faceted services the hospital provides to our community.
Creating excellence
Along with name changes, the hospital has made many physical alterations over the years as well. Floyd Memorial has continuously responded to community needs and national trends by undergoing numerous renovations to provide the latest healthcare services to the Southern Indiana region.
Today
Since its inception in 1953, Floyd Memorial has emerged to be an outstanding regional healthcare provider. Its medical staff is a well-built team of more than 600 physicians, representing a variety of specialties. The hospital currently employs over 2,000 associates.
