Duty Location: Muskogee, OK
Tour of Duty: Daytime Coverage (Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm) - with ability to provide call coverage with other Hospitalist Team members and MOD on after hours and weekends.
Relocation Expenses: Relocation expenses areauthorized for this position.

Qualifications Required
U.S. citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Preferred Experience: Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. Also, the following characteristics are preferred and will be given preference:
Intensivist / Critical Care
Nephrology
Rheumatology
Infectious Diseases

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
PLEASE NOTE: Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (particularly positions with a positive education requirement.) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light lifting (under 15 lbs); Light carrying (under 15 lbs); Walking (4-6 hours); Standing (4-6hours); Repeated bending (1-2 hours); Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; Near vision correctable at 13" to 16" to Jaeger 1 to 4; Far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other; Depth perception; Ability to distinguish basic colors; Ability to distinguish shades of colors; Hearing, aid permitted.
