As a Family Med Physician, you will be enlisted to provide all aspects of primary care. Your core responsibilities will include providing routine, acute, urgent, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative medical care to adult patients and determines appropriate regimen as needed. You will also serve as a member of the cross-functional team of providers, consulting with nurse practitioners and physician assistants on the assessment, management and treatment of complicated cases, chart review, co-signing, and case conferences. You will be expected to makes suggestions for improvements in clinic flow, patient scheduling and service delivery, and collaborate professionally with interdisciplinary team members, including providers, health educators, medical assistants, registered nurses, and case managers.


The role is most suited to a physician with 1-2 years of work experience in a primary care clinic setting, and with previous experience providing full-spectrum outpatient medical care, including family planning, prenatal, and gynecological services. Additionally, the individual in this position will deliver well and chronic disease care to a culturally diverse patient population of all ages. This role requires flexibility in meeting patients needs, and calls for an individual who is able to work evenings and Saturday clinics, and see unscheduled drop-in patients as appropriate. Overall success in this position will require top-notch time management skills, a high degree of interpersonal competence with both staff and patients, and thorough knowledge of evidence based approaches to medical care. The position reports to the Associate Medical Director, and requires board certification in Family Practice. In the absence of a board certification, candidate must be board eligible and become board certified within 2 years of employment. M.D. degree from a recognized University, one to two years of experience working in primary care clinic setting.
Cultural competence working in diverse/low income communities.
Ability to deal courteously and effectively with complex patient profiles, and maintain good working relationships with other staff
Ability to keep accurate, clear and legible records
Excellent time management skills
English/Spanish proficiency required

One to two years of experience working in primary care clinic setting.
Participation in quality assurance activities as needed
Familiarity with Electronic Panel Management
Ability and willingness to work under pressure and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Supervision of medical assistants by providing patient consultation as needed
NextGen experience strongly preferred
