Baptist Health South Florida is the regions largest not-for-profit healthcare organization and the most recognized health system in South Florida. Our medical group is seeking a full-time thoracic surgeon.

The ideal candidate must be a U.S. licensed physician, board certified in general surgery, and thoracic board certified or eligible. Candidates need to be in their last year of fellowship or a new physician looking to join an established surgical practice with the regions top thoracic surgeona luminary and pioneer in one of the most innovative robotic and minimally-invasive surgical techniques. The practice will provide surgical expertise to Baptist Healths celebrated Miami Cancer Institute, a $400 million comprehensive center opening in 2016 that will provide a world-class destination for cancer care and a dedicated research facility. The Miami Cancer Institute will be the first in South Florida to offer proton therapy.

The Division of Thoracic Surgery is composed of leading experts who have pioneered thoracic surgery methods. Our surgeons are dedicated to the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the chest. We continue to expand treatment options for patients utilizing minimally-invasive procedures including video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) and robotic assisted technology. We take a multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and other diseases of the chest so we can streamline the patient experience with all thoracic specialists.
