Job Description

The Infectious Disease Department at Beverly Hospital has contributed to the hospital being named the top quality hospital in Massachusetts two years in a row by BCBS of Massachusetts and a 100 Top Hospital in the United States by Truven Analytics. We currently have an opening for a BC or BE infectious Disease physician to join this two physician department. Our Infectious Disease physicians are responsible for all aspects of infection prevention, consultation on issues related to infection prevention, patient isolation precautions, antimicrobial stewardship program, initiation of and collaboration in performance / process improvement programs, policy/ procedure development and service on health system committees requiring infection prevention guidance. The physician will be responsible for inpatient infectious disease consultation, rounding and ICU rounding as required as well as some outpatient consultation and treatment of a wide spectrum of infectious diseases. Call is 1:4. This is a .5 FTE position currently. We can provide additional hours in Hospitalist coverage if desired.
