Palos Medical Group

Less than an hour from downtown Chicago, the Palos Medical Group (PMG) is located in the beautiful suburb of Palos Heights and Orland Park, Illinois.

PMG is offering an opportunity for a highly qualified psychiatrist with addiction medicine training. If you are looking to work in a Behavioral Health department that provides a full continuum of care, this may be for you!

MINIMAL INPATIENT ROUNDING RESPONSIBILITIES--THIS PHYSICIAN WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO TAKE ER CALL!!
We are looking for a leader in our outpatient clinic to develop programs for the growing opiate-dependent population. Inpatient duties will only be necessary to monitor certain treatments requiring medication management.

Position Highlights:

We are looking to expand the current group of 9 providers with an experienced addiction medicine physician.
Palos Community Hospital's Behavioral Health experts provide community education and prevention, diagnosis and treatment, through rehabilitation and recovery services.
New physicians will join an experienced treatment team of board-certified psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced practice nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and counselors.
An extensive offering of inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, classes and support groups allow physicians to choose the best programs and services for their patients.
A 24-hour Crisis Line is staffed with an experienced Intake Team.
Description:
Full-time employed position for a BE or BC psychiatrist in Psychiatry preferably with ASAM certification or certification as an addictionologist.
Suboxone prescription authority is a plus.
Willing to support a community need for the treatment options for opiate addiction.

Qualifications:

BC/BE, Well-trained & Qualified Psychiatrist with Addiction Medicine training (ASAM or addictionology's certification, Suboxone authority preferred)
US Citizenship or Permanent US Visa status
Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with all members of the health care team, patients and families
Focus on promoting evidenced-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
Willing to work collaboratively with Advance Practice Nurses as determined by the Palos Administration
Able to provide prevention, screening, intervention and treatment related to substance use disorders and addictions.
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served, through consistent behavioral health methods.
