Surgical Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced, certified Surgical Physician Assistants that will provide surgical care to patients throughout the Hospital. As an integral part of the Surgical Services team, you will provide continuity of care for the surgical patients admitted to the ICU as well as serve as the link to the ICU Medical Director and the attending Surgeons. This position will also provide support for the Attending Surgeons on staff, respond to rapid response calls and will handle emergency situations housewide. Certification in ACLS, expertise in endotracheal intubations, central line and dialysis catheter placement is required. Must be comfortable with the management of the post op surgical and critical care patient.

To qualify for this position, you must be a graduate of an AMA-recognized physician assistant training program that is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant and must have a current RI State Physician Assistant License and DEA.

Candidates should have at least 3-5 years experience.
