Abrazo Health is seeking Endocrinologists specializing in Diabetic Care to join a team of specialists focusing on all aspects of adult Diabetic care. Opportunities exist for both inpatient and outpatient care. Through clinical trials and basic research in conjunction with the Arizona Heart Institute, our patients will have access to and the ability to participate in state-of-the-art clinical trials for new drugs and technologies. This work includes active collaborations to foster a team approach within our systems primary care network, six hospitals, the Arizona Heart institute and partners within the ACO. While a significant number of the patients are diabetic, the ratio of diabetes to all other aspects of Endocrine care is approximately 60/40. Inclusion of special interests (adrenal, thyroid, etc.) are encouraged within the range of services provided to our patient population.

Our ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Endocrinology (or Board Eligible if recently trained), eligible for an unrestricted license with the State of Arizona and experienced in treating acute diabetic patients. He or she will provide optimal care to a defined patient population. The Practitioner is accountable for managing, planning, coordinating, and monitoring of care for the diabetic patients in collaboration with the, nursing staff and other health care professionals in order to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care. He/she will promote the service and help guide its strategic direction in concert with the Physician Services Leadership team and Medical Director.
