Become an integral part of our new world-class Trauma program by joining a dynamic team of medical professionals dedicated to providing high-acuity quality trauma care. Abrazo Health is seeking experienced Trauma Physician Assistants (PA) to Trauma and Acute-Care Surgery program. Abrazo West Valley Hospital is a modern and expanding acute care medical facility located in western suburbs of Metro Phoenix. We are currently treating 1800 cases annually with 85% of those being blunt traumatic injuries.

Our ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a trauma surgeon in order to provide optimal care to a defined patient population. The Practitioner is assigned a specific trauma caseload and is accountable for managing, planning, coordinating, and monitoring of care for the trauma patient in collaboration with the Trauma Surgeon and/or Orthopedic Surgeon, nursing staff and other health care professionals in order to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care. He/she will promote the service and help guide its strategic direction in concert with the Trauma and Orthopedic Directors. The Lead Trauma Mid-Level Practitioner will take on a leadership role in the implementation of the trauma and orthopedic goals at West Valley Hospital.

This role reports directly to the Trauma Medical Director clinically and administratively to the COO. Daily supervision is provided by attending trauma surgeon.

Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited AMA approved Physician Assistant Program.
1-3 years of experience in a designated Trauma program
Master of Science Degree from an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program
Current unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant for the State of Arizona
Certified in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Audit ATLS class preferred. Certified Surgical Assist is a plus.
