EMERGENCY MEDICINE POSITION(S) CURRENTLY AVAILABLE AT LAHEY HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL CENTER IN BURLINGTON, MA, LESS THAN 30 MINUTES FROM DOWNTOWN BOSTON

Lahey Health/Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (LHMC) is currently seeking an ABEM or ABOEM certified or prepared Emergency Medicine Physician with exceptional clinical acumen, well-developed interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to patient centered care.  LHMC is a Level II Trauma Center and a 317-bed, Tufts-affiliated teaching hospital consistently recognized as one of the best Academic Medical Centers in the country. The ED averages approximately 40,000 patients annually with a high level of acuity. It is staffed by 15 full time physicians, 9 advanced practitioners and a full complement of nursing and support staff. A new Emergency Medicine Center is currently under construction at The Medical Center and scheduled to open in the next 12 to 18 months.  Lahey Health has an additional ED in Peabody, MA that averages approximately 18,000 patient visits per year with a broad mix of high and low acuity cases and a 12% to 15% admission rate. The Peabody ED is staffed with 8 Board Certified Emergency Medicine physicians and approximately 32 nursing and support staff. Both EDs are a part of a system of affiliated EDs with the main tertiary hub based at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA.

Burlington is a very desirable suburban community approximately 20 to 30 minutes from downtown Boston. Communities in the area offer a range of housing options. Several offer school systems that are consistently ranked among the best in the country.
