EXCEPTIONAL GASTROENTEROLGY POSITION CURRENTLY AVAILABLE AT LAHEY HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL CENTER IN BURLINGTON, MA
The Department of Gastroenterology at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (LHMC) is currently seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist with interest in motility. The GI Department is comprised of 20 physicians and 3 advanced practitioners all committed to providing compassionate, high quality, patient focused care. Providers see approximately 30,000 outpatients per year for a wide variety of GI and liver related problems including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, biliary tract disorders and diseases of the pancreas, colon cancer, and disorders of the esophagus. Physicians also perform approximately 18,000 procedures annually. Many of the Department’s physicians are frequently recognized in local and national publications as among the best in their field. The Department offers a collegial and supportive environment in which providers feel their efforts are recognized and valued. All of these factors contribute to an extremely low turnover rate within the Department.
The GI Department also has an ACGME accredited GI Fellowship Program with staff physicians holding academic appointments at Tufts Medical School. Staff gastroenterologists have the opportunity to interact with fellows, residents and medical students, and to teach at Tufts Medical School if so inclined.

Interested candidates should be Fellowship Trained in GI. In addition to strong academic credentials, candidates should possess superb clinical skills and a demonstrated ability to engage and interact effectively with patients and their families, medical and nursing staff, and other clinical and administrative colleagues within the organization. A solid work ethic and well developed organizational skills are also required to effectively manage care in our fast-paced environment where quality care and safety are our highest priorities
