Elmhurst Hospital Center is an acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center, located in the borough of Queens in New York City serving a very diverse patient population. Elmhurst Hospital is a major teaching Affiliate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Elmhurst Hospital is seeking dedicated BC/BE Adult Psychiatrists to join its Behavioral Health team. The hospital provides quality behavioral health care across a broad continuum of services to a diverse patient population. Faculty is involved in training of psychiatric residents and medical students of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and have ample opportunity for professional development, academic advancement, and participation in clinical research.
We are recruiting for positions on our adult inpatient units and in our adult outpatient services. This is an opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary group and participate in the development of new, innovative treatment programs to enhance our system of care that include emergency, inpatient, outpatient, substance abuse, and community based care.
Unit Chief, Adult MICA unit: Full-time position for board certified/eligible psychiatrist as leader for an adult MICA inpatient unit. Provide clinical leadership of multidisciplinary team. Teaching opportunities with psychiatric residents and medical students are available. The candidate should have experience with substance abuse and demonstrate a strong interest in leadership.
Adult Inpatient Attending psychiatrists: Full-time position for board certified/eligible psychiatrist on an adult general psychiatry inpatient unit. Provide clinical leadership of multidisciplinary treatment team and direct care. Teaching opportunities with psychiatric residents and medical students are available.
Outpatient Psychiatrists –Child/Adolescent and Adult: Provide direct patient care and supervision of residents and medical students. Work as part of multi-disciplinary team. Board Eligible or Certified. Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
