Job Description

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital's Emergency Department is seeking to hire new emergency medicine physicians. Join our hospital employed group and enjoy working with a supportive team of experienced providers and staff. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available.


NVRH recognizes the importance of emergency medicine services and has taken recent strides to enhance the care we offer including the purchase of new ED dedicated ultrasound, GlideScope video laryngoscopy, and the hiring of a new residency trained, board certified medical director. We have opportunities for physicians to develop bedside ultrasound services and oversee EMS medical direction.

The ED sees a volume of just under 14,000 visits annually. Physicians currently work single coverage with excellent midlevel provider support during the day. Hospitalist service and pediatricians are available for admissions, OB and specialist on-call 24/7, and transfers to nearby tertiary care facilities are seamless with excellent EMS transfer service capabilities. Our dedicated ED care coordinators help ensure discharged patients access the care they need in follow-up.
