The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center
(JCMVAMC) is a Joint Commission accredited, complexity Level 2 facility serving
Veterans in 25 counties of eastern Oklahoma. The
Medical Center is comprised of a hospital, which provides primary and secondary
levels of inpatient medical and surgical care, and three outpatient clinics that
provide primary and consultative care in medicine, surgery, and mental health.
As part of the South Central VA Health Care Network, the hospital and clinics
have ready access to nine sister facilities for referral and use the VAMCs in
Oklahoma City and Little Rock for the majority of tertiary services. JCMVAMC
provides services for more than 45,000 enrolled veterans in four locations. In
Muskogee, the medical center operates 110 hospital beds and which includes an
Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit and an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. JCMVAMC
also operates VA-staffed Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Tulsa,
Hartshorne and Vinita. Tulsa's Behavioral Medicine Service moved to a new
location in January 2006 to accommodate the increased need and therapy
rooms.

Applicant's education and experience will be reviewed by a Professional Standards Board (PSB) and Compensation Panel in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected. The recommended salary may be at any point in the range listed for this vacancy.
