Physician Assistants Cardiothoracic Surgery

Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, a member of Lahey Health, is seeking experienced Physician Assistants to join its busy Cardiothoracic Surgical Service.
Surgical First Assistant:requires a minimum of 1 to 2 years of operative experience in cardiac surgical procedures, including performing endoscopic and open saphenectomy, and serving as first assistant for adult cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
Experience with postoperative ICU critical care and procedures (arterial and central lines, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis and removal of intra-aortic balloon pump removal) are highly desirable. Four shifts per week. Rotating responsibility for night and weekend OR call coverage.
Education Requirements: Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program and be certified or eligible for certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) and be eligible for licensure in Massachusetts.
