Floyd Medical Center has an opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in its Behavioral Health Center.



Located in Rome, Ga., Floyd Behavioral Health Center is a 53-bed inpatient unit. Floyd's Adult Psychiatry program treats patients 18 and older diagnosed with clinical mental health issues. They provide medication, counseling and therapy in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Under the direction of board-certified psychiatrists, treatment teams provide daily group activities and therapy, including art therapy, to target specific symptoms, decrease the patient s level of distress and stabilize patients to help them return home or to a more permanent living arrangement.

Rome is located in Northwest Georgia between Atlanta and Chattanooga. It boasts more physicians per capita than any similar-sized community in the U.S. That large number of physicians, along with a strong base of industry and a wide variety of activities, make Rome and the surrounding area a very livable, enjoyable community with excellent schools, a vibrant downtown and great health care.
