Position Overview

Responsible for history and physical exams through the emergency department for both the hospitalist service and for the private attending staff (as requested). Will provide cross coverage as needed/requested by nursing and medical staff. Rounding on assigned medical hospitalist patients and on patients as requested. Compliant with Hospital and MDICS quality initiatives.



Essential Job Functions

Competently perform History and Physical exams on Emergency Department admissions

Competently perform Consultations on existing patients.

Provide cross coverage ward work as requested by medical staff

Round on existing hospitalist patients and on medical staff patients as requested

Provide Mid Level provider and House physician medical supervision and oversight

Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed

Lead ACLS codes and Rapid Response Team evaluations



Requirements

Maryland Board of Physicians licensure in good standing

Federal DEA/Maryland CDS certification in good standing

Successful application and credentialing at Hospital

Internal Medicine/Family Practice board certification/eligibility

Criminal background check

ACLS Certification
