SBH Health System a 400 + bed Acute Care Hospital and Trauma 1 Center in Bronx, NY seeks a BE/BC Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine physician to join our dynamic and growing practice. Our ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high quality care to an underserved population, mentoring residents and medical students, leading quality improvement initiatives and conducting research. Academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the new CUNY School of Medicine is commensurate with credentials and experience. Opportunities to practice sleep medicine are available, but optional.

SBH Health System includes a 400 bed teaching hospital and is the primary teaching facility of the new CUNY School of Medicine. Also affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, SBH is located in the Little Italy section of the Bronx (adjacent to Fordham University, the Bronx Zoo and Botanical Garden) and has an extensive ambulatory network and new clinical leadership in numerous important positions.

We seek physicians who are interested in teaching and have had experience in an academic healthcare organization. We provide opportunities to participate in practice transformation related to goals for NYS DSRIP. Ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and communication skills, strong interest in teaching residents and medical students, and a commitment to high-quality care and population management. Spanish proficiency highly desirable. We offer competitive compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care and possess a current New York State license to practice as a physician. Current DEA is required.
