Job Description

St. Charles Health System, located in Central Oregon, is actively recruiting a full time, experienced General Surgeon to join our surgical team. With 2 critical access hospitals in communities of Madras and Prineville, a Level III Trauma Center in Redmond and a Level II Trauma Center in Bend, general surgeons affiliated with St. Charles are exposed to a wide variety of patient populations and cases. Our well-established Redmond-based practice has been serving these communities for over 20 years.

This unique position offers the opportunity to join an experienced surgical practice while providing surgical expertise to the rural community of Madras, Oregon. Located 45 minutes from Bend and two hours from Portland, Madras is a diverse community with an economy dependent on farming and manufacturing enterprises. Business opportunity abounds with projected population and employment growth that is expected to be among the fastest in Oregon for much of the next decade.

Requirements:
- Completion of a residency in General Surgery as well as Board certification
- 2 or more years of experience is preferred
- Trained and experienced in Endoscopy procedures
- Completion of an ATLS course
- Emergency General Surgery and/or Trauma experience
