Adult Psychiatrist Needed for Busy Practice in Northwestern PA

Meadville Medical Center is currently recruiting a BC/BE Adult Psychiatrist to join its dynamic, established team of psychiatrists. Patients are waiting months for an appointment, so the community need is great. The position requires 50/50 inpatient and outpatient work, with occasional consultation liaison opportunities.

The inpatient mental health facility currently has twenty beds with an opportunity of expansion to include eight additional beds. The staff is productive and easy to get along with, providing a comfortable, progressive atmosphere for the physician. Call will be 1:4 with weekday calls being phone only, weekends involve rounding.

Candidate should be well trained and ready to apply for or already possess their Pennsylvania state medical license. Excellent communication skills required and must pass state clearances.

Meadville Medical Center is a 235 bed regional medical center with a service area of 100,000 offering our community members the highest quality medical treatment and patient care. In February, 2010, The Womens Diagnostic Center opened and boasts cutting edge digital mammography and MRI guided biopsies.

Meadville Medical Center services most of Crawford County and is located in close proximity to Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Cleveland.
