NOCTURNIST NEEDED TO JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM
Sacred Heart Hospital, located in northeastern PA (Allentown, PA) has been providing exceptional care to our patients for more than 100 years. We are seeking a Nocturnist or Hospitalist to join our multi-specialty medical group. Our Hospitalist group has 6 physicians and 1 PA. This is a full-time opportunity, 7 on / 7 off and night shifts are required.
The ED covers codes, while specialist back-up is available as is 24/7 ICU coverage. In addition to the standard patient care services to be rendered, Physician shall be expected to respond upon arrival to any new admissions, medical consults and behavior medicine consults; cover the ICU and respond to Codes. Physician shall be ACLS certified (or obtain certification); shall become proficient in the insertion of central lines; and develop the necessary skills to intubate patients.
Sacred Heart Hospital is a 215-bed religious medical center offering a wide range of advanced medical services. We are nationally recognized in case management, as a Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery, and our Transitional Care Facility was granted a Five-Star rating by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. We are located in a welcoming community and only 90 minutes west of New York City and 60 minutes north of Philadelphia. Requirements: MD/DO or foreign degree equiv.; completion of 3 yr. ACGME-approved Family Practice residency program; & PA license/eligibility. The selected candidate must be able to work as a team and possess excellent communication skills
