Pulmonary Critical Care Physician

Job Description

St. Charles Pulmonary Clinic, part of St. Charles Heart Lung Center, east of the Cascades, is actively recruiting a team oriented pulmonary critical care physician. This position will be a combination of outpatient clinic, inpatient pulmonary consultation, pulmonary procedures, critical care services and outreach. The candidate will be able to maintain their pulmonary and critical care skill set by participating in the call rotation. St. Charles pulmonologists work closely with the Heart and Lung team to provide patients with specialty care that ensures treatments are coordinated, streamlined and comprehensive.



Requirements:

- A qualified candidate will be Board Certified or Board Eligible in pulmonary medicine and critical care.

- The applicant must demonstrate successful completion of an accredited residency in internal medicine followed by a two year subspecialty training program in pulmonary disease/critical care.

- The applicant must perform bronchoscopy, EBUS and thoracentesis procedures and interpret PFT and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.

- The successful applicant must be able to provide documentation showing pulmonary disease inpatient or consultative services for at least 50 patients during the past 12 months. Additionally, participation is care of at least 24 patients in the ICU setting, and performed ventilator management, central line placement, arterial catheters and intubations.
