Position Summary

Health Essentials, is currently searching for a well-rounded Attending Physician for our San Diego region. In this role, you will be responsible for rounding at our contracted post-acute facilities. The successful candidate will have 2 years of clinical practice in Geriatrics, Palliative Care or Internal Medicine. Working as part of an inter-disciplinary team to ensure the patient receives quality care, our Attending Physician will ensure all patient needs are met in a timely manner and in accordance with company standards.

Minimum Qualifications

MD, DO with an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of California
Board Certified in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine or Palliative Care
Current DEA license.
2 years of clinical practice in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Palliative Care or similar practice
Current BLS or ACLS
Understands SNF/hospice philosophy and issues of death/dying
Understands principles of pain/symptom management
Valid unrestricted CA Driver License, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation
