Job summary:

Our ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency program is seeking an experienced full-or part-time obstetrician to join our OB faculty of 5 Family Physicians and 2 Obstetricians in providing obstetrical care to patients in our multi-site practice and at two local community health centers. This position will involve a mix of independent practice including obstetrics, gynecology, and surgery as well as resident education and supervision. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will develop an active outpatient practice based at our East Hampton, Connecticut office.

Additional Responsibilities

Participation in the obstetrical on call rotation providing consultation and back-up to Family Physicians and clinical supervision of Nurse Midwives
Provision of resident teaching and supervision in the office and hospital
Delivery of resident education in didactic and seminar settings
Participation in quality improvement activities
Participation in residency and hospital committees and meetings


Minimum Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited medical school
Completion of training at an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program in Obstetrics
Board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Full and unrestricted licensure in the State of CT
Unrestricted federal and state controlled substance registration
Demonstrated skill and experience as an educator
Practice experience demonstrating outstanding clinical skills
KEY requirement: Ability to collaborate effectively with Family Physicians and Nurse Midwives in the provision of family-centered maternity care
