Family Medicine Faculty

Job Description

Ascension Genesys Hospital, located in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is seeking a full-time Family Medicine faculty. This is a full-time, employed position and includes precepting residents, seeing patients in an academic setting, inpatient rounding, and precepting prenatal care. OB deliveries are not a requirement.

The program is dually accredited in Family Medicine with a longstanding history of educating future physicians. The position entails 20% clinical practice, 10% research time, 60% teaching, and 10% management.
The office is located in Burton, Michigan. Schedule is 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., with a half day for administrative work/week. Faculty see their own patients an average of 2 half days per week.
Rounding on the inpatient service averages 6-7 times per year. During inpatient rounding weeks, faculty round for 7 days in a row.
Call is home based for ER admissions, precepting residents approximately 1 night/week.

Qualifications: Graduate of ACGME or AOA accredited Family Medicine residency program, BC in Family Medicine. Academic/teaching experience a plus, but not required.
