Job Description
Nash Hospitals in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Psychiatric Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient and clinic-based services to the residents of eastern North Carolina.
Nash Health Care primarily services a six-county area including Nash, Edgecombe, Franklin, Wilson, Warren and Halifax counties, but draws patients from well beyond these areas as well.
Nash Health Care boasts a diverse and growing medical staff of approximately 170 physicians including general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, family medicine specialists, neurosurgeons, internists, gastroenterologists, plastic surgeons, cardiologists, nephrologists, urologists, gynecologists and more.
Service Specifics
Analyze and evaluate patient data and test or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder.
Prescribe, direct, and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, and other professionals.
Counsel outpatients and other patients during office visits.
Design individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments.
Requirements
Bachelors Nursing or Physician Assistant or Masters Nursing/Physician Assistant
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program or graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications, Licensures and Registrations
Nurse Practitioner North Carolina Board of Nursing Required
Physician Assistant North Carolina Medical Board Required
BLS American Heart Association Required
ACLS American Heart Association Required
