MSC is currently searching for a Neuroradiologist to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is full-time, and it is on site in Bethesda, MD.

Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate shall perform radiologic services onsite at the NIH.
During on-call hours, the candidate is expected to respond by phone to the in-house staff or other NIH staff within 5 minutes of notification and will be immediately available to discuss a case with the patients NIH physician requesting a consultation, procedure, or imaging study. This is for the period of time during which the candidate is officially scheduled to be on-call.
The candidate shall communicate with technical staff directly in order to provide instructions for performing imaging studies and/or answer any technical questions.
The candidate shall be available for review of completed studies or procedures in order to provide the interpretation or results of the procedure to the clinician in a timely manner.
The candidate shall communicate directly with the requesting clinician the results of the urgent or emergent studies performed.
The candidate is required to meet the expected Turnaround time of less than 24 hours for written reporting of routine studies, with immediate verbal reporting of findings.
The candidate is required to document all care provided in the Radiology information system and when appropriate, directly in the patients hospital medical record.

Position Requirements

Minimum two years post-residency experience with neuroradiological imaging studies including MR, CT, Ultrasound, plain films and with skill in performing lumbar punctures utilizing fluoroscopy. The neuroradiologist must be Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology with a CAQ (Certificate of Advanced Qualification) in Neuroradiology and at least two years post-residency experience.
The candidate shall be licensed in a state, territory or commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.
The candidate shall be board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and with CAQ or MOC in vascular and interventional radiology, for the On-Call Interventional Neuroradiologist position.
Must comply with all hospital policies and requirements established by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
Must be able to provide necessary credentialing documents and references for privileges in the Clinical Center.
Must provide proof of a negative TB test, and documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination before reporting to work at the Clinical Center.

On-Call schedule

In general, the Neuroradiologist will work 40 hrs, on a weekly basis, for the period of performance specified in the final contract, and occasionally provide on-call services during the week or on weekends, as scheduled in-advance for an amount of time not-to-exceed the number of on-call hours stipulated in the final contract. For on-call, the Neuroradiologist must be available for after hours consultations, from 5 pm to 8am, Monday through Thursday, and 5 pm Friday through 8am Monday. The Neuroradiologist should be available by phone and teleradiology. Occasionally, the Neuroradiologist may need to come on-site to supervise a contrast injection or procedure, or to evaluate a patient, or provide a bedside clinical consultation, in order to be in the immediate patient care area. When on-call neuroradiologist should be able to come on site to the facility within one hour if required to do so.
