Assosciate Medical Director

Job Description

The positions duties will include a mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities with about 20-30% clinical time. Duties include:

Oversee existing Programs (e.g. Scribe, Hep C, MAT) including some direct supervision of staff, and partner with others to develop and implement new programs.
Work closely with Director of Primary Care Operations to ensure cooperative relationships between clinical and administrative staff.
Interact regularly with site-based AMDs and Center Managers to identify and respond to their needs.
Ongoing involvement in provider recruitment and retention efforts.
Regular interactions with other administrative leaders such as CFO, CAO, Director of Planning, and Director of QI.
Participate in committee meetings requiring clinical representation such as QI and P&T
Supervise physicians and advanced practice providers
Participate actively in collaborative care, team building and training
Provide direct patient care


Qualifications and Experience:
Individual must be a physician possessing a current CA Medical Licensure and experience working with vulnerable patients in outpatient primary care.
Prior management experience.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a, fast-paced health care setting and prioritize competing job demands.
Demonstrated ability and sensitivity working with a diverse staff and patient population from varied race, ethnic, socioeconomic, age, education and lifestyle backgrounds.
