Charlotte, NC/University area seeking Osteopathic (DO) sports medicine physician.

Novant Health has need for an osteopathic (DO) sports medicine physicians to join our busy, growing established outpatient clinic of 20+ years in the Charlotte areas first osteopathic family medicine center, Novant Health Osteopathic and Family Medicine. BC/BE family physicians, sports medicine fellows, primary care sports medicine and new DO graduates are encouraged to apply.

Candidate will join our team of 3 physicians and 3 nurse practitioners in our North Charlotte clinic. Osteopathic medicine has been offered in the clinic for 15 years and has become so popular that we have rebranded our clinic to specialize in the distinctive brand of medicine DOs offer. Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is desirable but not required.

Our clinic sees patients from infants to the elderly for general primary care, chronic disease management, urgent medical conditions and injuries. Musculoskeletal medicine, OMT, sports medicine, and wide variety of procedures are offered. Opportunities are available for teaching students/residents (but not required), as we are historically a teaching clinic.

Candidate will help to develop the sports medicine program in the University area, which is home to the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, high school and club sports. Candidate will join a well established Novant sports medicine department and have opportunities for team care, sideline care, and sports medicine urgent care. Novant Health will soon open a regional rehabilitation and physical therapy center on site and will attract athletes of all levels for rehabilitation and performance training.

Clinic features in house lab, X-ray, ultrasound. Epic EHR is system-wide. No nights or weekends. Call is telephone only. Most calls handled by triage nurse. Outpatient only. No OB. Clinic is part of the Novant Health system, which provides clinic management, billing and operations.
