Job Description

Our legacy is healthy children.
BE/BC Pediatric Nephrologist
Portland, Oregon
At Legacy Health, we believe in our fundamental responsibility to improve wellness and to empower people to lead healthier lives. We embrace family centered care to transform the lives of our patients, our people, and our communities.
Randall Childrens Hospital is actively recruiting a full time, BE/BC pediatric nephrologist to join an established team of 2 pediatric nephrologists. Candidates with strong interests in patient care, quality improvement, clinical research, and teaching are encouraged to apply. Our program offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services including general nephrology, renal replacement therapy, end stage renal disease and pre- and post-kidney transplantation care.
The division of pediatric nephrology provides dialysis services to a robust pediatric ECMO program and The Oregon Burn Center, a leader in burn care serving patients from Seattle to Sacramento. We partner closely with our 3 board-certified pediatric rheumatologists to ensure seamless multidisciplinary care for children with rheumatic disease. We hope to expand our pediatric nephrology outreach programs both physically and utilizing telemedicine. Additionally, we participate in clinical research opportunities with support from The Legacy Research Institute.
Randall Children's Hospital (RCH) is a regional leader providing exceptional care for children throughout Portland and the Pacific Northwest. We are a 165-bed ACS verified level 1 trauma center for children that includes a 22-bed Childrens Emergency Department, 24-bed PICU, 45-bed NICU, 25-bed Childrens Day Surgery Unit, 14-bed Childrens Day Treatment Unit for outpatient infusion. The RCH medical staff is comprised of more than 600 physicians, including pediatric medical and surgical specialists, sub-specialists, hospitalists, and community physicians.
Portland is an eclectic city offering diverse cultural and family-friendly activities that appeal to a wide variety of needs and tastes. Portland boasts beautiful parks and is one of the top biking cities in the US, promoting an active, healthy lifestyle. The temperate four seasons, spectacular Columbia River Gorge, and the majestic Cascade Mountains, as well as proximity to ocean beaches, wine country, and breathtaking ski slopes make this an opportunity for both a dynamic position and a wonderful lifestyle.
As we consider qualified candidates, we are committed to building a culture that values diversity and is reflective of those we care for.
