Job Description
CHOICES is interviewing Certified Nurse Midwives to help us launch Memphis' first freestanding Birth Center featuring Centering Pregnancy pre-natal care and midwife deliveries. We are looking for creative, pro-choice clinicians who will be energized by working in a collaborative team practice model alongside CPMs and OB/GYNs. Full-scope midwifery, out-of-hospital experience preferred, competitive salary plus benefits, anticipated start date June 2019.
The clinics current scope of practice includes obstetrics, gynecology, gay and lesbian healthcare, transgender hormone management, reproductive life planning including contraception and fertility assistance, 1st trimester medication and surgical abortions, reproductive health services for people living with HIV/AIDS, menopause management, miscarriage management, colposcopies, LEEPs and other GYN office procedures.
CHOICES clinicians and staff enjoy active clinical and research partnerships with highly respected institutions including St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Methodist University Hospital, Vanderbilt University, the University of Memphis, Rhodes College, the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals, Path2Parenthood, and many others. The clinic is active in local, state and national advocacy for reproductive health and social justice, and is a founding partner of the statewide advocacy coalition Healthy & Free Tennessee.
