The Staff Physician at Miami Jewish Health Systems will provide direct care to patients of our comprehensive rehabilitation center and skilled nursing residents.

Summary of essential job functions:
1. Provides direct patient care to MJHS residents, patients and outpatients by examining, diagnosing and treating patients in the clinic, hospital or at bedside as needed.
2. Advises nurses and related personnel as to the administration of medication and treatment.
3. Maintains relevant parts of charts according to MJHS, State, and Joint Commission standards.
4. Communicates with families and payors according to guidelines and in a courteous and timely manner.
5. Oversees and coordinates the care provided by the Therapists or other members of the Multidisciplinary team.
6. Participates in on call rotation
7. Participates in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement program effectiveness including, but not limited to: follow-up treatment/outcome review, incident monitoring, patient/family satisfaction with services, monitoring of key systems of performance required to support the program, and indicators of clinical quality related to the patient populations served.
8. Formulates, develops and executes medical plans and programs for the Rosomoff Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center and the clinical areas of MJHS.
9. Serves on committees and attends a variety of committee and non-committee meetings, department meetings and in-services as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
1. Graduate of an accredited Medical or Osteopathic School. Board Certified as a Physiatrist/eligible (for up to 1 year).
Experience: Completion of Fellowship
Licenses/Certifications
1. Valid State of Florida Medical License required
2. Board Certification required within 18 months of service
3. Valid DEA License
4. Valid Florida Drivers License and proof of insurance
