Job Description
Are you a provider interested in working and connecting to those in your community? Do you have a passion for making a difference? Working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) might be a great fit! They provide care to underserved patients, most of whom earn income below the federal poverty line. You will have the ability to practice patient-centered medicine without the worry of running a business.
A Federally Qualified Health Center provides preventative, primary health, dental, mental health, and substance use services to underserved communities. FQHCs receive federal funding to operate in communities with the goal to provide quality care with no concern for a patients ability to pay. FQHCs allow providers to achieve a better work-life balance with generous PTO, paid holidays, and normal hours. Opportunities are also provided to fulfill continuing education at no cost to you. As an FQHC provider your malpractice insurance is covered through the TORT Claims Act. Providers may also be eligible for federal student loan repayment programs and staff will help applicants through the process if interested.
FQHCs are located throughout the state of Illinois. If you are interested in city life, rural, or urban areas there is an option for you! You will have opportunities to grow your career, lead a team, or if you are just starting out find a great mentor! Do you want to work with a special population or work with clients spanning from birth to elderly, there are options and many FQHCs are flexible. We will listen to your needs and match you with the right health center.
