Seeking Med/Peds Trained Physician to grow Inpatient Peds at Rush Health Systems

Job Description

Rush Health Systems, located in Meridian, MS, is seeking a BC/BE Med-Peds trained Physician to join our inpatient hospitalist team. We have a strong, established group of providers and need a new team member to expand our services, both adult and pediatric, to residents of East Central MS and West Alabama.

Rush is a growing regional healthcare system comprised of seven hospitals and more than 50 specialty and primary care practices, and is dedicated to continuing the growth and development of healthcare programs and specialties based on the needs of our community. We have a large service area and have implemented many new technologies (EPIC, Telemedicine, Telestroke, EBUS); in addition we have added several new specialties and well-trained young physicians to our team. Here's some details:
Established hospitalist team of 5 physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners
Provide high quality care for the full range of internal medicine and pediatric patients (currently do not have pediatric inpatient services but want to get into this arena)
215-Bed Hospital with open 23 bed ICU and specialists within the system
11 bed Long Term Acute Care Facility attached
3 Intensivists on staff; Neonatologists on staff
Multiple OB/GYNs and outpatient pediatricians within the Rush System
Manageable census of approximately 12-15 per shift; around 4 admissions per shift.
Adult Hospitalist program that has been here for 20 years
Flexible Schedule- Most likely 7 on/7off type of arrangement but we could discuss additional coverage options
Recruitment packages available to include sign on, loan repayment and/or stipend.
Teaching opportunities for local family medicine residency program
EPIC system wide.
